What is Profhilo Structura?

Profhilo Structura is an injectable treatment designed to improve facial support, firmness, and definition. It works beneath the skin, in the layer where facial fat naturally sits, helping to strengthen and restore the areas that tend to sag or hollow with age or weight loss.

It contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid—90mg per syringe—which spreads smoothly and stimulates the skin’s natural repair processes. This includes boosting collagen, improving elasticity, and rebuilding the soft tissue framework.

Most people undergo two sessions spaced one month apart. Results build gradually and can last for several months.

How Does Profhilo Structura Work?

Profhilo Structura is injected into the superficial subcutaneous fat layer, targeting areas responsible for facial support and contour. The formulation contains 90mg of hybrid cooperative hyaluronic acid (HCC)—a combination of high and low molecular weight HA—engineered to remodel tissue rather than volumise.

Once injected, it spreads evenly across the fat compartments, triggering adipocyte stimulation, fibroblast activation, and collagen and elastin synthesis. This improves the mechanical strength of the soft tissue and enhances overall facial support.

Structura uses a 5-point bio-aesthetic injection protocol (BAP) with blunt-tip cannula delivery, ensuring controlled diffusion and reduced vascular risk. The cannula technique allows for deeper placement with minimal trauma.

Bioremodelling effects begin within days, with visible improvements in skin firmness, tension, and soft tissue quality progressing over 2–6 weeks post-treatment.

How Does Profhilo Structura Differ From Classic Profhilo?

Both Profhilo Structura and classic Profhilo use hyaluronic acid to stimulate collagen and improve skin quality—but they target different layers and concerns.

Classic Profhilo is injected into the dermis, the upper skin layer. It improves hydration, elasticity, and fine lines. It’s best for overall skin glow and firmness.

Profhilo Structura goes deeper—into the superficial fat layer beneath the skin. It helps rebuild structural support, soften hollows, and improve sagging. It’s better for restoring facial shape and contour.

Structura also contains more hyaluronic acid—90mg vs. 64mg in the original—and is injected using a blunt cannula for deeper, safer placement.

In short:

  • Classic Profhilo = skin quality
  • Structura = structure and support

They can be used together for a layered, full-face approach.

What Does Profhilo Structura Treat?

Profhilo Structura is designed to improve early signs of volume loss, skin laxity, and facial sagging—especially in the mid- and lower face. It works well in areas where the face begins to look deflated or unsupported, such as the cheeks, nasolabial region, and jawline.

It helps to rebuild structure under the skin by stimulating repair in the fat layer, which naturally thins with age or rapid weight loss. This makes it especially useful for softening the look of hollow cheeks, soft jowls, or post-weight loss “sunken face.”

Unlike fillers that add bulk, Structura strengthens the foundation of the face, improving firmness and contour while keeping your features natural and mobile.

What to Expect During Treatment

Profhilo Structura is injected using a blunt-tip cannula at five strategic points on each side of the face. These points are chosen for safety and even product distribution.

The procedure typically takes 15 to 30 minutes. You may feel light pressure or a stretching sensation, but most find it very tolerable. Numbing cream is usually applied beforehand.

Because the product is placed deeper than typical skin boosters, mild swelling or tenderness may occur around the injection points. Bruising is uncommon but possible.

There’s minimal downtime. Most people return to normal activities the same day, though you should avoid intense exercise, saunas, and facials for 24 hours.

When Will I See Results?

Results from Profhilo Structura build gradually. You may notice early changes—like improved firmness or less sagging—as soon as 2 to 3 weeks after your first session.

Peak results usually appear 4 to 6 weeks after the second session. This includes better definition in the cheeks or jawline, a subtle lift, and smoother facial contours.

Because it works by stimulating collagen and repairing soft tissue, changes are natural-looking and progressive, not sudden.

Improvements typically last 6 to 9 months, depending on skin condition, age, and lifestyle.

What Should I Avoid Before and After?

Before treatment:

  • Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (e.g. aspirin, ibuprofen) for 24–48 hours.
  • Skip active skincare (retinols, acids) 2–3 days before.
  • Reschedule if you have active acne, cold sores, or skin infections.

After treatment:

  • Stay upright for at least 4 hours.
  • Avoid exercise, hot showers, saunas, or facials for 24 hours.
  • Don’t massage or apply pressure to the treated areas.
  • Delay any other facial treatments (e.g. lasers, peels) for at least 3–5 days unless advised.

Following these steps helps reduce bruising, minimise swelling, and support optimal tissue repair.

Who Is It Suitable For?

Profhilo Structura is suitable for people experiencing early to moderate facial volume loss, especially in the mid-face, cheeks, or jawline.

It’s ideal for:

  • Those noticing sagging or “flattening” in their facial shape
  • Individuals with post-weight loss or Ozempic-related deflation
  • Patients who want subtle lift and support without heavy filler
  • Anyone looking to improve facial structure while keeping natural movement

It’s not meant for treating fine lines or skin hydration alone—that’s where classic Profhilo is more appropriate.

A proper assessment by a qualified practitioner is essential to determine if Structura is the right option, or if other treatments should come first.

Advice From the Editor

Structura works best on faces that are starting to lose definition—not volume-heavy, not overly thin. Think: early jowls, soft cheeks, or post-weight loss sagging.

It pairs well with classic Profhilo if you want both structure and skin quality. You can layer them in separate sessions—Structura for depth, Profhilo for glow.

If skin laxity is moderate to severe, consider RF microneedling or ultrasound lifting (like Ultherapy) before starting Structura. It performs better on skin that still has some elasticity.

Avoid intense treatments (e.g. lasers, peels) for at least 3 days post-injection. If combining, do those first.

Choose a provider trained in cannula technique. Precision matters here more than in superficial skin boosters.

Results are subtle but noticeable—don’t expect a filler-like plump. Expect lift, firmness, and better facial shape over time.
